The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) is the independent non-profit professional association serving the growing field of Business Analysis. Whatever your role -- requirements management, systems analysis, business analysis, requirements analysis, project management, or consulting, if you are involved in analysis for systems, business or process improvement, IIBA can help you do your job better. HistoryThe IIBA celebrates its 8th anniversary October 2008. Today, the IIBA is over 5000+ members strong representing 30 countries, has established 100 active Chapters worldwide, with another 60 Chapters in progress. Visit http://www.theiiba.org for the latest information. The Salt Lake Chapter held its first meeting in February of 2009, Co-founded by Greg Garner and Jordan Leung. Due to lack of interest chapter organization was put on hold, but is being reorganized as of August 2010 under Dave Rasmussen Jr. and Holly Harvey. We have had a great response to our membership drives and are quickly moving towards being recognized as an official chapter of the IIBA. . We welcome all those who are interested in joining, no matter what your desired level of participation may be. Each month, your fellow business analysts, along with recruiters, project managers, and those passionate about business analysis attend presentations. Each chapter meeting and other events offer a great way to get to know others in your industry. CBAP ExamsThe Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®) is maturing and the first Business Analyst certification exams have been administered. To date, over 400 business analysis professionals have earned their CBAP designations. Our chapter is busy forming new study groups in UT for the CBAP examination this fall. Also, computer-based testing (CBT) was launched September 1, 2008. Approved applicants will be able to register online to take the exam at a dedicated test centers. CBAP Study GroupsPlease email
